Career Guidance & Support

The CARE Program – HRR's award winning organizational initiative – is at the center of the Firm's professional development process. A core philosophy of HRR is that the individual is primarily responsible for the direction of his or her career. Given this responsibility, each staff member is assigned a Firm leader who is trained to provide specialized coaching and guidance to help them better manage their careers – this is the CARE Program.

CARE represents an acronym that describes this initiative as follows:

C – Counseling:

To provide our professional staff with a central, trusted source for ongoing career communications and guidance.

A – Advocacy:

To provide our professional staff with support for resolving career-related issues and concerns.

R – Responsibility:

To provide our professional staff with knowledge to take responsibility for establishing and/or maintaining a successful career.

E – Empowerment:

To provide our professional staff with encouragement and confidence to perform at their highest potential.

The overriding aims of the CARE Program are:

  • To promote accountability with professional staff members in the management of their careers;
  • To assist in the formation and attainment of meaningful short-term and long-term career goals;
  • To ensure that staff member career goals are consistent with HRR's strategic objectives;
  • To ensure that open communication exists between HRR and each staff members;
  • To serve as a focal point for the resolution of job performance issues, misunderstandings, and disputes;
  • To help pursue advancement opportunities within the Firm and maximize career potential.

With ongoing guidance and encouragement, our staff members are better equipped to navigate career concerns, including work-life balance issues. Moreover, the CARE Program helps staff members take control of their careers and perform at their best through goal-setting and focused personal and professional development.
